STEM Educator and Advocate
Sikieng Sok is a STEM educator and advocate, dedicated to empowering underprivileged children all over the world through Tech education. Sikieng is very passionate about science and technology, but she is most proud of her humanitarian efforts to help young, underprivileged kids pursue STEM careers. In Cambodia she led the Technovation Challenge, a three-month program that taught coding skills and empowered young girls to create their own mobile app. When she moved to Singapore, she worked as the curriculum developer/In-House Tinkerer for Saturday Kids. One of the projects she worked through Saturday Kids was called “Coding in the Community.” This program, funded by Google, taught coding to 3,000 underprivileged kids in 2 years.
