Khouanfa 'Jeng' Siriphone
Co-Founder & Creative Director, STELLA Social Enterprise
Khouanfa Siriphone is a co-founder of a social enterprise called STELLA (2015), which focuses on job-readied skill development for youth in Laos. Khouanfa’s works include the invention of trust-based small grants for youth to return to hometown and implement life changing projects to the communities they love while still studying, introduction of board games as soft skill development activity for youth, pioneering online education and career planning platform that aims to serve youth nationwide, and currently coaching 10 teams who won the Innovation Challenge Fund Awards from the UNDP’s Accelerator Lab in Laos.
Khouanfa is also a long term member of The Asia Foundation and YSEALI programs. STELLA’s social enterprise concept won an award in YSEALI Regional Workshop: Power of Entrepreneurship in 2015. He was also the first Lao to be selected among the 12 emerging leaders in Asia under The Asia Foundation Development Fellows Class of 2017, where he learns transformational leadership and cultivates it since; and Khouanfa was among the facilitator team in the YSEALI Regional Workshop: Eco & Sustainable Toursim in 2019.
Khouanfa is a graduate from the Faculty of Creative Industries, Queensland University of Technology, Australia in 2012.
